I’ve only played at Oxford a couple of times so keep that in mind.
Oxford *note tiki bar is closed but has a soft opening I believe next weekend. I would prefer a home game to add in if I could find one. Overall - for me it’s biggest selling point is distance from Gainesville, but it has its drawbacks. Cocktails/food seems to be run by a single person, so expect delays. No way to get on wait list or view without calling (used to be able to via discord but that has ended). Few tournaments and is predominately 1/2 which can run pretty aggressive sometimes. High hand promo requires at least Aces full with jacks (I think this leads to lower population of players). Regs there can be unpleasant in certain ways, which may be normal but Is amplified due to lower room population.
Pro - Distance to Gainesville and interstate accessibility.Ĭons - Poor building, poor food quality (imo), poor quality in cards (copag cards can be somewhat damaged/marked players have asked for a new setup but floor declines). OGP: *NOTE OGP is planning to relocate very soon, likely within the next couple of months.
